AI in Echocardiography: Advancing the Differential Diagnosis of LVH

Date Saturday, November 14, 2026
Time 09:00-10:00
Venue Meeting Room 8, OCEC, Muscat, Oman

Introduction

Differentiating left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) phenotypes remains a significant clinical challenge, with important implications for early diagnosis and patient management.

This interactive workshop will explore how AI-powered echocardiography can support clinicians through automated cardiac measurements, enhanced disease detection and more efficient diagnostic workflows.

Through real-world clinical cases and practical demonstrations, participants will discover how AI can complement clinical expertise and help identify patients who may require further investigation for conditions such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and cardiac amyloidosis.

Target Audience

  • Cardiologists, echocardiographers, cardiac imaging specialists, sonographers and clinicians involved in the diagnosis and management of patients with LVH, cardiomyopathies and heart failure.

Educational Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognise the clinical challenges in differentiating left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) phenotypes and their implications for patient management.
  • Understand how AI-powered echocardiography can support automated measurements, disease detection and diagnostic decision-making.
  • Explore, through clinical case studies, the practical application of AI in identifying and differentiating LVH phenotypes, including HCM, cardiac amyloidosis and hypertensive heart disease.
